Cookies/biscuits

In South Africa we call it biscuits, in America they like refer to it as cookies, not to be confused with the IT term!

I loved making these for some pretty awesome kids!  Yes, it is Rudolph..red nose and all!

Minnie Mouse

Teaching keeps me very busy with very little time for baking.  I did manage to squeeze in a cake as a gift for someone.

It was a double tier chocolate ganache sponge cake.

Sheep!!

I had a very busy year trying to complete a 2 year teacher's diploma in 1 year.  I really had very little time for my hobby and love of baking.

School closed on Friday and on Saturday I delivered this lovely cake to Excelsior near Vleesbaai. A lovely farm-style wedding venue.
It was nerve wrecking to bake between load shedding!!  It was also a first to decorate a cake by candle light..but now I know it can be done.

White topsy turvy cake

The most difficult part of this cake was negotiating the steep hill leading up to the venue in beautiful Wildernis!!

Silver and white dessert table

Where did this year go?  Was shocked to see the date of my last blog entry. In my defense, I do study, work,  am a single mum and bake cakes as a hobby.

This was a lovely dessert table I've done for a gorgeous lady.

The cake was chocolate ganache and the cupcakes carrot..the chocolate balls were Lindt that I've added a personal touch to.
